Our Story
Draycott Place, Chelsea: the inspiration for our firm's name.
Our founder, Steven Palmer, started his career as an investment banker at global firms before spending 12 years as a private equity investor focused on financial services and fintech companies. In 2014, he was given the opportunity to lead a company seeking to disrupt the title insurance industry and spent the next four years discovering just how hard it is to operate a disruptive business.
In 2018, after leading the sale of that company to Radian Group, Steve realized he had developed a vast network within the mortgage ecosystem: title insurers and agents, lenders, underwriters, private equity investors, and strategic contacts. He formed Draycott Place Partners initially as a strategy consulting firm for mortgage and insurance verticals.
Through those projects, a void in the marketplace became clear: smaller independent title, mortgage, insurance, and fintech companies seeking to sell or raise capital were often underserved by middle-market investment banks and forced to work with advisors who didn't understand their businesses.
To remedy that, Draycott Place Partners transitioned to providing investment banking and capital markets services through a partnership with a registered broker-dealer, enabling compliant execution while maintaining the boutique, hands-on approach our clients deserve. Since expanding into investment banking in 2021, we have successfully managed transactions across real estate and tech-enabled business services. Today, securities and investment banking services are offered through Britehorn Securities, LLC (Member FINRA/SIPC).
Our Partnership with Britehorn Securities
In 2026, we made the strategic decision to change our broker dealer affiliation and join Britehorn Securities. In addition to being a highly regarded broker dealer catering to independent investment bankers, Britehorn has a team of senior bankers led by Bobbi Armstrong that also has an outstanding track record of completing transactions for title insurance companies. We believe that since 2020, our team at Draycott Place Partners and Britehorn Securities have combined to complete more investment banking transactions involving title insurance companies than any other advisor.
